Editorial Standards

Our editorial process is designed to make living-room guidance useful, careful and easy to check.

Evidence and attribution

We prefer primary or authoritative sources for safety standards, product terms and factual claims. When feng shui schools or practitioners differ, we name the interpretation instead of presenting one rule as universal.

Room-first recommendations

Every guide begins with the reader’s real constraints. Clear routes, stable furniture, heat and mounting clearances, accessibility, household needs and budget take priority over symbolism. We offer observation, rearrangement or measurement steps before suggesting a purchase.

Testing and product coverage

Tool reviews state what was verified, when it was checked and what remains uncertain. We do not convert an unverified vendor relationship into a recommendation. PlanningWiz, for example, remains independent editorial coverage unless its current terms and any affiliate arrangement are verified.

Affiliate independence

If a page includes a tracked link, it receives a plain-language disclosure near the recommendation. Commercial relationships do not determine the conclusion, and readers receive a useful non-commercial route alongside product coverage.

Corrections and updates

We review material changes to safety guidance, product terms and editorial claims. Substantive corrections are made in place. To flag a possible error, use the contact page and include the page URL and the statement that needs review.
